Events > Space Exploration Day

Space Day, one of STEMworks’ many career awareness events offered to Maui County students, takes place every year in September as part of MEDB’s AMOS (Advanced Maui Optical and Space Surveillance Technologies) Conference.

As the premier technical conference in the nation devoted to space situational awareness and space domain awareness, AMOS draws STEM industry professionals from all over the world to Maui. On the last day of the conference, students meet with and learn from these industry professionals during engaging student activities, including a presentation by an astronaut and interactive sessions covering cutting-edge technology like lasers, infrared cameras, satellites, and flight simulators.

Visit amostech.com for more information about the AMOS Conference. Please note that as a professional scientific conference, it is not open to the general public.

The 2024 Space Day event will be held on September 20. Space is limited! If you are a Maui County teacher interested in having your students participate in Space Day, please email:
