Two Maui intermediate schools received iPads to promote and create “innovative learning environments.” Lokelani and Kalama Intermediate School students received these iPads as a $2.5 million donation by Verizon in partnership by Digital Promise to lead the way in digital learning.

In order to celebrate, Lokelani Intermediate School had a launch day on October 24 which invited all students and parents to learn about various free educational apps available through the iTunes app store. The Women in Technology team demonstrated Lightbot and Google Earth apps and what features these apps offer to students to promote digital learning.
